Increasing Upload Size/Time in PHP Applications

1) Create a .htaccess file in the root folder of the web server.
2) Put the following code in side the .htaccess file and save it.
  1. php_value upload_max_filesize 50M
  2. php_value post_max_size 50M
  3. php_value max_execution_time 200
  4. php_value max_input_time 200
(The exact time limit - in seconds - as well as the new upload limit can be modified from this example, though, most should find the above more than enough).

3) Confirm change via phpinfo() function.
