Setting up forwards in Exchange

Configuring a forward within exchange is not quite the same as doing to via your control panels mail manager. Exchange is only able to mailboxes already set up within the exchange account specifically as opposed to the typical way of being able to forward to any mailbox (external or internal) by just specifying the address itself. 

If you do wish to add a forward within exchange first you must add the target mailbox to exchange as well. Next click on the Mail Flow Settings tab of the source mailbox, enable mail forwarding, then select the target address in the forward to section.
