Application Support Policy

Application Support Policy

Hello

Cartika, as a policy, does not support actual applications or scripting customers are running on our servers.  This includes any custom coding, home grown and built applications, or more common applications like Wordpress.

Cartika will absolutely assist any customer with server side issues related with running applications on the various managed services tiers we offer.

If for example a customer is having an issue with mod_security blocking their scripting and need exceptions made, we are available to help customers resolve such issues.

Configuring plugins on Wordpress, customizing Templates, updating any code or content, is completely outside of the reach of the services we offer.  However, we do have an extensive and growing partner network who can assist you with various common and even custom applications

With Wordpress specifically and specifically on Windows, Cartika is not able to provide any support for these installations what so ever.  Customers can (and do) certainly run Wordpress installations on many of our Windows environments. However, customers are purely self service in this regards.  It is STRONGLY advised that customers only run wordpress on Linux.  Especially with the more recent NSA Toolkit hacks in the wild impacting Windows servers, security has become of the utmost importance. And often times, the permissions and security lockdowns we put in place to protect Windows environments, will also create potential vulnerability points, and especially so in multi-tenant environments. Customers who experience permission or other related issues with Wordpress on Windows, should very strongly consider moving these installs to Linux environments

We thank you for your understand and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions, comments or concerns
