Dedicated IP with cPanel

Dedicated IP with cPanel

Unfortunately, with the depletion of IPv4 IP addresses globally, these really are not as readily available as they once used to be and each usage needs to be absolutely justified

you can read more about IPv4 depletion here

https://www.google.ca/search?q=ipv4+depletion&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=WUdNVrXwNMPLeNfJkZAI

site isolation was once one of the real reasons shared/reseller customers would request dedicated IPs - however, this is actually handled by technology called cloudlinux and cagefs which runs on all of our shared/reseller cpanel servers

https://cloudlinux.com/
http://docs.cloudlinux.com/cagefs.html

this technology actually performs virtual isolation at the cpanel account level.  a separate IP is not relevant nor required and really does not serve much of a purpose any more :)

SSL was the last real requirement for a dedicated IP, but, with v4 depletion, the technology was built (SNI) to accommodate SSL without a dedicated IP in order to conserve millions of IPs used for ssl in shared environments

as such, Cartika does not offer dedicated IPs within our cpanel shared/reseller hosting accounts
