            Resource Monitoring with Plesk

            Monitoring the resource usage on the server is vital to properly managing the system and your hosted accounts. To check the resource usage on the server you first need to log into the Plesk as the admin user. Once logged in, click Health and Monitoring in the main menu on the left hand side. This will bring up the following screen:

            You will notice that there are 5 categories: Services, Disk, Memory, CPU, and Network. For each service the system gives detailed information regarding their resource usage. You can click the “+” (Plus Symbol) next to each category to view the individual stats for the specific category, and you can put a check in the box next to the individual stats to see a visual breakdown in even greater detail showing usage over time:

            Services:

            Apache CPU usage: This is the amount of CPU utilized by the web server

            Mail server CPU usage: This is the amount of CPU utilized by the mail server

            MySQL CPU usage: This is the amount of CPU utilized by the database server

            Panel CPU usage: This is the amount of CPU utilized by the Plesk software
            Apache memory usage: This is the amount of RAM utilized by the web server

            Mail server memory usage: This is the amount of RAM utilized by the mail server

            MySQL memory usage: This is the amount of RAM utilized by the database server

            Panel memory usage: This is the amount of RAM utilized by the Plesk software

            Disk:

            What you see here will vary depending on the amount of drives you have added to the server. This category will show the usage of the disk and the data transfer rate for each drive added to the server.

            Memory:

            Physical and virtual memory usage: This shows the total utilization of RAM on the server

            Swapping throughput: This shows the swap usage rate in memory

            CPU:

            Total usage: This will show the percentage of the CPU usage and the load on the server

            Processes: This will show average number of processes running at any given time

            Network:

            This will vary depending on the amount of network cards utilized by the server. There will generally be only one NIC shown and will display the bandwidth throughput.

            if you do not see Server Health Monitor from the Plesk you can install it as it comes with the Plesk sepcially the newer versions 11+v

            Installing Health Monitor:
             
            Health Monitor is an additional component that is provided with Plesk by default. You can install it during the Plesk custom installation or add it later using the Server Management > Tools & Settings > Updates.
